About This Lesson

This is a great resource designed to be used with any piece of text: literary or informational reading. The series of charts are designed to help students chart their reading process and practice reading strategies while independent reading. Strategies include: summarizing, making predictions, making inferences, questioning text, visualizing, and monitoring reading. The goal is for students to utilize these strategies when reading to improve reading comprehension.
