These three short films, Hedge Funds Are Killing Off Schools in Puerto Rico For Profit / Greed 101: Hedge Funds Bringing Poverty and Suffering to Places Like Puerto Rico / Trump: Puerto Rico, highlight the impacts of the debt crisis on education and health services in Puerto Rico. In examining the damage done to these two sectors of Puerto Rican society, these films share the personal stories of how everyday Puerto Ricans who are bearing the brunt of the burden of a debt held by high-profit hedge funds on Wall Street.
The series also takes a close look at these Wall Street "vulture funds," exposing their direct responsibility for the current situation in Puerto Rico as they pressure the Puerto Rican government to pay off its $72 Billion debt before providing vital services to the people of Puerto Rico. Each film highlights the men at the head of these funds and reveals the disastrous impact of their single-minded pursuit of profit.
