The decennial census happens once every ten years and is the largest peacetime civic engagement undertaken by our country. The SIS program designed free activities and resources for pre-K through grade 12, specific for the 2019/2020 school year to spotlight the 2020 Census and the importance of counting everyone, especially children. Participants will leave the webinar equipped with information on how they can incorporate SIS resources into their classroom and how the count impacts federal funds in their communities for things like classroom technology, teacher training, after-school programs and more.
