Distance teaching has been a struggle but it is beginning to calm down a bit and be part of the everyday routine now.

The technology piece was the biggest struggle trying to get all my students connected and teach them how to use the devices and the programs virtually. Helping support my students is another struggle because of unstable internet connections, inadequate speakers, lack of digital tools, and other reasons. I try to reach out to all my students to make sure they are able to access the materials they need. I communicate closely with families to make sure they have the resources they need. Sometimes I forget to take care of me though.

I feel your pain Icosta as I’ve been doing virtual teletherapy since March as I live in New York City. It does get better, but eight live sessions a day plus posting on Google classroom and handling all the E paperwork is extremely exhausting and it’s very difficult to take care of yourself as well. Try to paste yourself so you don’t burn out and learn a little bit at a time. This is a learning experience for all of us, so please take it one day at a time and reach out for Resources From this community and others
