Hi all, I am excited for so many of the different options that I am having a hard time choosing ;-) Definitely planning to attend Freedom to Teach Honestly.

As for top two or three... literacy focused and equity focused options will be where I focus!

Oh, and most definitely "Unladylike"... Having spent over 20 years working in non-traditional careers (law enforcement, military, investigations), I am passionate about gender issues and policies; especially those that attempt to tamp out equality on all fronts. Now that I am a second-career teacher just starting out in K-12 teaching, I want to leverage my personal experiences to create an impact with my students. I am thankful that decades of teaching at the post-secondary level part-time & training LEOs/investigators, has given me some skills, but I will be teaching my first brick and mortar job this fall in 6th grade...(insert nervous emoji)
Been teaching virtually for a few years, but going all-in-on-the-ground is going to be an adventure. These webinars are going to be excellent resources for me. Looking forward!
