About This Lesson
The National Coalition Against Censorship, an alliance of over 50 national non-profit organizations, has advocated for the free speech rights of students, artists, teachers and librarians for over 45 years. NCAC is pleased to offer educators an adaptable, editable presentation for classroom use on the basic principles of free speech law in the United States.
The presentation discusses topics such as general American free speech jurisprudence, the Supreme Court cases which address the rights of public school students, and the free speech rights of students, teachers and other public employees.
