About This Webinar

In America, we don’t do kings—and that was by design.

From the beginning, this country rejected having a monarchy. Power belongs to the people, not to one person or one party. That principle is still worth defending—and building on—today.

As we face attacks on public education, healthcare, civil rights and working families, we’re not just resisting—we’re organizing for something better: strong public schools, vibrant communities, and a democracy that works for all of us.

Join us for a special No Kings Day Town Hall on June 10, 2025, at 6:00 pm ET, featuring:

  • Randi Weingarten, President, AFT
  • Governor Andy Beshear, Governor of Kentucky
  • Leah Greenberg, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, Indivisible Project
  • Rev. Al Sharpton, Baptist Minister and Civil Rights Leader

Together, we’ll get ready to organize, mobilize, and build power for the future.

We’ll cover:

  • What civic action and people-powered, nonviolent movements look like in 2025;
  • How educators, union leaders, and communities are coming together to strengthen public services, protect democracy, and advance educational and economic opportunity for all;
  • How to build power at every level — and show up in solidarity with Pride, Juneteenth, and pro-democracy movements across the country; and
  • What you can do on June 14 to take positive, nonviolent action in your community.

This country belongs to the people. When our students, our neighbors, and our democracy are on the line, we don’t just fight back, we fight forward.

Register now and join the movement.

Speakers

Gov. Andy Beshear

Governor of Kentucky

From an early age, Governor Andy Beshear's parents, former Governor Steve Beshear and First Lady Jane Beshear, along with his family and community, instilled in him the values of faith and public service.

He has leaned on those values during his time as Governor, especially during the global pandemic and two historic natural disasters: the Western Kentucky tornadoes and the Eastern Kentucky floods.

During the pandemic, he made it a priority to communicate directly with Kentuckians on how to stay safe by providing daily briefings that were broadcast online and on television. In each decision he made, he focused not on what was most popular, but on what would save lives. More
