About This Lesson
For my Gold Award, I aimed to create an accessible video-journalism program for elementary schools to incorporate. To achieve this goal, I developed lesson plans for teachers, collaborated with educators and administrators across K-12 levels to secure the necessary software, equipment, and permissions, and worked closely with an elementary school teacher to align lessons with the curriculum. Additionally, I volunteered in my high school’s video and television lab, mentoring students in all aspects of production.
