Biography
Amy Baars is an elementary school librarian and ESOL teacher at Jefferson Elementary in Wichita, Kansas. With a passion for literacy and language development, Mrs. Baars works with culturally diverse students, including many English learners and newcomers. A former Army veteran with eight years of service, Mrs. Baars brings dedication and adaptability to the classroom, fostering a love of reading and learning. They also advocate for inclusive and engaging library spaces, using hands-on activities like Legos and interactive read-alouds to inspire young readers.
