I recently qualified in October 2010 with a PGDE. I have 5 years teaching experience of teaching English to students aged 12-18 years old in both Thailand and Ireland. I also taught TEFL to students aged 6-12 years in Thailand. I am seeking a challenging and fulfilling position as an English and Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE) teacher in a school where my abilities will be challenged and I will have the opportunity to develop professionally. I am a very caring and competent teacher who will make a worthwhile and valuable contribution to any school in which I am employed.My teaching philosophy is rooted in my goal to effectively teach all my students and instil in them a love of learning. I want my students to understand that learning should take place not only in the confines of the classroom but throughout their everyday lives. I strive to help them become life-long learners and seize their own opportunities to gain knowledge.
