Denise Salazar

I just finished my 7th year of teaching. I taught Kindergarten this year and will be teaching Pre-K next year. Before that, I taught 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 12th! I have never had the opportunity to teach the same grade twice! I honestly don't mind it too much though. I enjoy the challenge of taking on something new, I learn new things every year and adapting to whatever situations may present themselves, and, most importantly, I have gained a tremendous amount of experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I also have a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and am a Certified School Counselor, as well. I try to apply what I learned through counseling in the classroom as much as possible. I think it's super beneficial for both me and my students!
