Biography
Before becoming a teacher, I had a multitude of jobs: clerical worker, journalist, book seller, tutor, and research assistant. I became a Special Educator in mid-life, and went on to get a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy Education. I have worked with middle and high school students, in traditional settings and in alternative settings, including Juvenile Hall in Salinas, California. I currently work at Harbor High School in Santa Cruz, California.
