“My choice is to be surrounding everyday by the two things I enjoy most in the world: students and technology. I perfectly combine technology with instruction. I dedicated my live to giving. My reward, often unsung, is lodged in the minds and hearts of the children whose futures I have touched.”
I offer students twenty-four years of experience as a Foreign Language teacher in and out of the United States. One year teaching Multicultural Studies at Murdock MS. One year @ FLVS, solid Internet skills. Many years @ Miami Dade CPS.
Motivated and professional with a master’s degree in multiple areas. Flexible and versatile – able to maintain calm under pressure. Thrive in deadline-driven and fast paced environments. Excellent team-building skills, extremely organized, strong attention to detail, solid language skills, able to follow instructions well and make proper decisions without supervision.
As a 1983 graduate of Lugansk University, I have teaching experience on the elementary, secondary and adult levels, in both suburban and urban school districts, in and out of USA. I am a Certified Teacher by State of Florida in Foreign Languages, Spanish K-12, valid until year 2016, Certificate # 853930. I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning, major: Curriculum and Instruction. Currently I am enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program, at Saint Leo University, in ESE and ESOL.
Able to provide my students with a “head start” in mastering basic skills, face to face an online, in Spanish, as well as in English, through intervention and tutoring programs. I am challenged to be creative, nurturing and most of all, patient.
I do love teaching. I love fact that every day I help to touch the future. I love knowing that. My live has made a difference for the students I am committed to challenging every day.
My teaching vision and experience have been expanded ever more every year; I improved the achievement process of my students applying new strategies for second language acquisition and a wide spectrum of innovative informal assessments, which developed advanced level of learning in my students.
I developed a learning-centered environment in my classroom, which enhanced the PCPS and National Standards for Foreign Languages, applying active learning, differentiate instruction and responsive classrooms at daily basis instruction.
I applied new and creative group activities, including experiential learning, encouraging pro social behavior, gaining a positive teacher-student and peer relationships. I feel that I have grown as an educator; I feel more confident implementing new approaches and strategies, because every teacher is different, like every student. Now I can adjust my teaching style to my children’s learning style using a variety of ways to manage behavior problems. During all these years I have learned major specific strategies for Foreign Languages at every stage of learning and I was able to implement them in my classes. I discovered new avenues to teach and to assess my students.
Recently, my teaching style has been invigorated, I just actively participated at International Conferences sponsored by FFLA, Inc. National well-known speakers and experienced teacher offered a wide variety of workshops and trainings, which expanded my teaching vision and experience.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher.
