Richard Powers is Professor Emeritus from University of Maryland Global Campus, where he taught classroom, online and blended learning classes from 1988 to 2014 (online classes starting 1998). As Senior Faculty Trainer, he trained over 3,000 faculty to move online
He is currently Project Manager at Stuttgart University in Germany, where he designs blended learning courses about digitalization & diversity/inclusion for over 4,000 Teachers in Training/Pre-Service Teachers.
At City Colleges of Chicago, Richard works remotely, as Project Manager for the Adult Education Program's Blended Learning Course Design Project, overseeing 25 educators working in teams to design 19 NRS Level 1-6 courses for Math, ESL and Language Arts.
He is a Quality Matters Program, Course, K-12, Higher Education Master Reviewer/Team Chair, Master Online Teacher (MOT) with degrees from Wake Forest University and New York University.
Richard is based in Stuttgart, Germany, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. He retired from the United States Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel, including six years of active duty.
He and the PSE are new to Share My Lesson, and he is eager for the March Conference to get to know everybody!
