I have a BA in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I worked as a chemist for 3 years after college. Being young, and blind, I sought another job in search of better pay, not in my degree Field unfortunately. After many years, I was given the opportunity to teach science at a private school, while completely intimidated I gave it a shot. I never in a million years would have thought I wanted to teach but after I did I found I really enjoyed teaching. This was truly a blessing because financially I needed the extra income. I was teaching and working another job. As you can imagine doing both was quite a strain. I did not have my teaching certification so I could not teach at a school that would pay enough for me to quit my full time job. So, I pursued obtaining my certification but it took awhile to obtain being I was working full time while having a part time job. I am currently a middle school science teacher for grades 6th-8th for a private school.
