About This Webinar

Join us for an urgent town hall addressing the alarming changes in federal policies allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers into sensitive locations like schools, healthcare facilities, churches and other social services sites. These changes have already created a climate of fear for families—immigrant and nonimmigrant alike—as well as educators and healthcare workers.

During this webinar, we will:

  • Examine the harmful consequences of rescinding the sensitive locations rule in the protected areas memo.
  • Discuss the impact of the new president’s mass deportation agenda on schools and hospitals.
  • Provide guidance on what to do when federal agents show up at these critical community spaces.
  • Highlight the AFT’s campaign to ensure schools and hospitals remain safe and welcoming places for all.

This is a critical moment for educators, parents, healthcare workers, and all who serve our communities. We have an obligation to protect our young people and ensure our schools and hospitals are places free from fear and trauma.

Register now to join the conversation and submit your questions in advance. Together, we can push back and protect the families and communities we serve.
