About This Webinar

Join AFT in an engaging webinar designed to provide insight into the benefits of co-teaching and the essential foundation of co-planning. This session will explore co-teaching and its critical role in supporting neurodivergent learners and students with individualized education programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans.

Discover strategies for implementing differentiated instruction within a co-teaching framework to implement specialized instruction, accommodations/modifications, and learn how to use functional behavioral assessments to create supportive learning environments. Gain insights into how general and special education teachers can effectively collaborate to design and deliver instruction that meet the needs of every student.

Participants will leave with:

  • Proven techniques for creating equitable access to the curriculum.
  • Tools for fostering meaningful teacher collaboration.
  • Information to conduct functional behavioral assessments and use data in the MTSS process

Whether you’re new to co-teaching or looking to refine your approach, this webinar will empower you to create impactful, inclusive experiences that support every learner.

With over 20 years of experience as a co-teacher, resource teacher, and self-contained special educator, I remain passionate about helping all students succeed. I specialize in differentiated instruction, collaborative teaching, and creating engaging, supportive learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential.

Beyond the classroom, I’m grateful for a wonderful family and an amazing group of colleagues who make this journey even more rewarding. When I’m not teaching, you can find me enjoying indoor cycling and pickleball,  my  favorite ways to recharge and stay active.

Education is not just my profession—it’s my passion, and I’m committed to making a difference in the lives of students every day.
