About This Webinar

Join Julia Thompson and Share My Lesson at the Share My Lesson Virtual Conference to learn how to create a classroom community where students can excel.

Teamwork. Engagement. Success. All of these hallmarks of a strong classroom community are key components in creating a positive academic environment where students work and learn together in harmony instead of disorder, misconduct, and disruption.  Students who feel a sense of connection to their classmates, their class as a whole, and to their teachers are much more likely to behave with courtesy and self-discipline. The connections in a classroom community encourage persistence in achieving shared goals, respect for others, and effective communication skills—all important life skills. In this presentation, you will learn how to improve the way students relate to you, how to help students get to know each other better, how to help students relate well to each other, and how to engage students in shared activities that will allow them to develop a sense of belonging to the class.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
