About This Webinar

During these unprecedented times, our students and our own children are experiencing a range of unpleasant emotions, including anxiety, frustration and boredom. As the adults in their lives, it’s crucial that we make space for our children’s feelings and support them in managing those feelings. In this webinar, Marc Brackett, author of Permission to Feel, and director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, will share a four-step process to help adults be emotionally intelligent role models for children and teach them key strategies that support healthy self-regulation.

I truly love to hear Marc

I truly love to hear Marc speak. I was actually trying to see how/if I could get him to come and speak for my district once schools open again. He is so compassionate, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable about the topic. His ability to self reflect adds so much more to the information that he provides. Thank you for these presentations always!

Wonderful presentation and great to hear from Mark. Thanks for bringing the emotions work to us for our kids and ourselves during this time.

I enjoyed the webinar on

I enjoyed the webinar on Helping Children Regulate Emotions During Changing Times. It really helped me understand just how important it is to validate our students feelings and that they have permission to feel whatever they are feeling. It's important to help them to name it and express how they are feeling when able, letting them know you will listen without judgement and be that role model (Uncle Marvin) for the students. It also helped me understand how my feeling are also real and I need to own them . I think the Mood Meter is also very helpful.
