About This Webinar

Join Listen Current and Share My Lesson for a webinar on using authentic audio to build academic language.

Teachers are challenged to meet a new standard in the Common Core - listening. There are few classroom tools that address listening. This presentation will give teachers an understanding of the neuroscience behind auditory learning and tips for implementing the use of curated public radio podcasts in the classroom. Participants will learn how they can use podcasts to spark classroom discussion and provide authentic listening experiences to support English learners. The content areas will focus on ELA and literacy in middle and high school.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
