About This Webinar

Join Katie Potter of Lee and Low Books and Share My Lesson for a discussion on the process behind researching and developing the Lee & Low Books Social and Emotional Learning Diverse Reading List.

We will look at the need for Social and Emotional Learning in the classroom in addition to exemplar texts from the following categories: Empathy, Positive Relationships, Recognizing & Managing Emotions, Problem-Solving, Grit & Perseverance, and Perspective-Taking. We will cover strategies on how to use these texts in the classroom and provide examples of activities to do with students. At the end of this webinar, educators will have concrete strategies to explore with these books in addition to a free, downloadable book list.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
