About This Webinar

Perimenopause and menopause impact half the population—but for too long, they’ve been misunderstood, dismissed, or ignored entirely. That ends now.

Join AFT President Randi Weingarten, Dr. Vin Gupta, and leading women’s health experts for a powerful Vital Lessons town hall that tackles what perimenopause and menopause really mean—for your health, your work, and your everyday life.

This conversation will break down:

  • The early signs of perimenopause (and why many people miss them)

  • Common symptoms like brain fog, hot flashes, sleep disruption, and joint pain

  • Treatment options, including hormone therapy, lifestyle changes, and non-hormonal approaches

  • How to talk to your doctor when you feel like you’re not being heard

  • Why this is not just a personal issue—it’s a workplace, public health, and equity issue

Whether you’re going through it yourself, supporting a partner, or advocating for better care in your school or workplace, this session is for you.

Bring your questions. Bring your experiences. Let’s talk—out loud, without stigma.

This town hall is part of “Vital Lessons: Health Chats with Dr. Vin Gupta,” a yearlong series providing timely, science-based health insights for our communities.
