International Politics: Lesson Plans and Resources

About This Collection

Resources on Teaching International Politics

Understanding global affairs is more critical than ever in an era of shifting alliances, rising geopolitical tensions, and challenges to the post-World War II international order. As diplomacy frays and conflicts reshape international relations, students must develop a strong foundation in global politics to make sense of the world around them.

This curated collection of international politics lesson plans from Share My Lesson equips educators with resources to teach students about the complexities of U.S. foreign policy—how it is developed, adapted, and implemented in response to global crises. Lessons explore the creation and governance of international organizations, the evolution of international law, and the role of diplomacy in a rapidly changing world. Students will also analyze contemporary conflicts, shifting power dynamics, and different forms of government worldwide to gain a broader perspective on the forces shaping our interconnected yet increasingly fragmented global landscape.
