About This Lesson

A set of Starter Cards on powerpoint from the wonderful liverpool math team. The idea is that you print out the cards, laminate them, and use the prompts on the back to engage the students in a stimulating discussion. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: 6.EE.2

I like this a lot. A handy resource that puts the 'thinking' questions right alongside the object of discussion. Would be great to just show the pictures and ask them what questions they can think of to ask about them too.

This resource provides nice discussion questions for writing algebraic expressions as well as substitution.
