About This Lesson

This handout was designed to go alongside a practical where students were asked the above question as the starter. They then carried out an investigation where they used a funnel filled with pure ice above a beaker and measured how much water was produced in 5 minutes. They then repeated with salt and ice.
Low ability students can use the handout, higher ability can design their own method.
