About This Lesson

This assignment has students explain how hard it is to explain history when there are multiple perspectives involved, using the September 11 attacks as an example. They look at 5 perspectives on 9-11 (US Government, Boat Captains that evacuated Manhattan, survivors from the Twin Towers, Osama Bin Laden, and Americans who committed hate crimes after the attacks) and learn a structure for writing an organized paragraph.
