About This Lesson

Our 9/11 Day lesson plans and activities help educators inspire students to honor the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance by performing their own acts of kindness, service, or good deeds. Resources are tailored by grade level (PreK–12), aligned with SEL, C3, and Common Core standards, and flexible—whether you’re looking for a complete lesson plan or a quick stand-alone activity.

In addition to lessons, you’ll find the School Engagement Toolkit, which provides ready-to-use tools and templates for schoolwide participation, and the Teacher’s Guide, which offers an overview of 9/11 Day and practical guidance on how to approach this important topic in the classroom.

All resources are free and available at 911day.org/teachers.
