About This Lesson
This is lesson 4 of an 8 lesson unit on decimals. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use three different methods of round decimal fractions to help them find an estimated answer of a decimal computation problem. Students will understand when each of the three methods is most effective. This lesson serves as a bridge to the following lessons in this unit that move on to computing actual answers for decimal computation problems. Aligned to CCSS: 5.NBT.4
