About This Lesson
This is a first grade ELA Unit, Lesson 5 out of 12. All About Living Things: Learning to Navigate and Create Informational Texts - Setting the Stage for Inquiry. This lesson asks students to recall information in order to identify a topic they are interested in exploring. Students are asked to collaborate with peers during a turn and talk activity to share recalled experiences, which will help students in topic selection. Aligned to CCSS: W.1.8 , S1
