About This Lesson
This is a first grade ELA Unit, Lesson 9 out of 12. All About Living Things: Learning to Navigate and Create Informational Texts - Close Listening and Comparing Texts. In this lesson, the teacher is taking students through a close listening activity. S/he does by reading once for understanding the key details in a text (RI1.1); the second time to find out the meaning of words and phrases (RI1.4); and the third time in order to compare the similarities and differences between two texts (RI1.9).
