This is a ninth grade ELA Unit, Lesson 2 out of 4. Immigration: An Ethical Dilemma - Annotation as a Skill. In this lesson, the students are learning an important skill--annotation. Annotation during a close reading is a complicated skill; students are not expected to master this skill after this initial lesson.
