Students will learn to interpret differences between simple quadratic transformations and the parent function; identify verbal descriptions of transformations of quadratic equations; understand and identify the difference between horizontal and vertical stretch and compressions; graph horizontal and vertical stretches and compressions of given quadratic functions; and apply stretches and compressions of quadratic functions to real world situations.
