About This Lesson

This lesson address the common core standards for reading literary texts.  In this lesson students will read an engaging story by Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve titled "The Medicine Bag" and they will practice respectful communication with peers.  Students will be reading, annotating text, and completing a graphic organizer while considering how their words can impact others.  The lesson includes resources and Exit Slip assessment.
