About This Collection

Caribbean American Heritage PreK-16 Lesson Plans and Resources. 

In recognition of National Caribbean American Heritage Month, first proclaimed by President Joe Biden on May 31, 2022, we honor the vibrant cultures, rich traditions, and lasting contributions of Caribbean Americans to the fabric of the United States. As President Biden stated:

Today, millions of Caribbean Americans strengthen our country through their vibrant cultures, traditions, languages, and values.  In recognition of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month, we honor the immeasurable ways Caribbean Americans have added to our American dream.

Throughout June and beyond, we celebrate the achievements of Caribbean Americans across fields such as education, science, medicine, literature, the arts, politics, sports, and civil rights.
