About This Lesson

Last year the 2011 UK Census happened and an exciting range of resources are available to educate students about this important event.Students use the Victorian Child's Story Book to compare their lives today with a fictional Victorian child in 1851. They can make a direct comparison by creating a visual book of their own lives using the My Story Book resource. A useful booklet about a Victorian child and his interests, family, community, education etc. A useful resource for History lessons. Children can then use the same format to create a booklet about themselves. They will enjoy the activity whilst working on their Literacy skills and will be able to compare their life to that of a Victorian child.
