About This Lesson
Acids and bases are all around us. This program features early theories of Arrhenius and Lowry-Bronsted and looks at valence structures; exposed protons and proton transfer. It looks at diprotic and triprotic acids linked to structures and give examples. The pH scale and the use of indicators to measure pH is explained as are standard reactions - acid + metal; acid + oxide; acid + carbonate; acid + hydrogen carbonate.
Great little task. 3-4 min and a worksheet to go with it. Brilliant.
