About This Lesson
Following the area Area of a Circle Day 1 lesson, students will be reminded of and challenged to apply the formula A=πr2. Students will have opportunities to calculate a circle's area given both the radius and diameter. Lesson Objective: Students will be able to apply their conceptual understanding of the relationship of radius squares to the area of any circle and accurately calculate this measurement using the formula A=πr2.
