About This Lesson

Two years ago when I taught this unit, it culminated with the task, "Why did Steinbeck Kill the Baby?" (listed as option 2), engaging students in issues of author's purpose and plot structure. This time we will tackle the issue of whether they find the Marxist perspective or the feminist perspective of The Pearl more compelling (option 1). Rubrics will be posted.
