About This Lesson

Introduction to atomic structure. Little exercise at the end to practice working out number or protons; electrons and neutrons in different atoms and ions. Two different ones (one includes isotopes). May be necessary to remove ions from tables if not discussed yet.

Lovely powerpoint - clear images to help students to visualise the proportions of different subatomic particles in relation to the size of an atom. Succinct activity to practise working out numbers of protons, electrons and neutrons.
