About This Lesson

This is a favorite math center activity for my kindergarteners. I purchased four long hair Barbies at a thrift store and made two braids in their hair. I then bought mini-barrettes at the Dollar Store. Each child in the group gets a Barbie. Children take turns shaking the die twice and recording the two numbers in a Barbie box. He/she then puts that many barrettes on Barbie’s braids, counts and records how many barrettes he/she has altogether.
