About This Lesson
How can teachers begin to build an open, supportive, and reflective learning community from the beginning of the school year? In this webinar, we’ll discuss the important role the first few days of school play in supporting students’ social-emotional learning and academic success.
Join us as we explore Facing History’s Back-to-School Toolkit. This new resource is designed to help social studies teachers establish a reflective and courageous classroom community where students learn to exchange ideas and listen respectfully to each other. The toolkit is designed for U.S. history classrooms but can easily be adapted for other history/social studies courses.
