About This Lesson

Although Leonardo da Vinci lived 200 years before Bernoulli’s Principle was discovered, he was already designing ways to fly. In this activity, students channel their inner Maestro to build a model airplane wing that takes advantage of this principle to provide lift. This is a companion activity for Leonardo da Vinci Gets A Do-Over. The title is available at a discounted price for Title 1 schools on the First Book Marketplace. In this book, readers tag along as 7th graders Max, Tad, and Gina become the reincarnated da Vinci's ambassadors of the modern age—and learn about history, art, anatomy, and STEM topics along the way. Comes with a free downloadable Teacher’s Guide filled with activities just like this one.
