About This Lesson

Statistically young Americans tend to have less political engagement and lower voter turnout than the general population. Developing these political habits early form a foundation for political engagement throughout people’s lives. This lesson has students look at trends and data involving youth political engagement and explore various ways that young people can participate in politics. Students will address the deliberation question:
