About This Lesson

A council in Wales, UK is planning to start turning off 14 000 of its street lights in order to save money. This resource gives students practice at calculating electricity costs in order to work out if this will save the council as much money as they think. Excellent resource, it links the calculating energy aspect of core science to a real scenario, which will help engage learners. The presentation of the work is also high quality, helping students to understand what to do in the task. I will add this resource to our schemes of work. Thanks for sharing.
