About This Lesson

Watch Margaret Cheung, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Physics and researcher at the University of Houston, share her passion for science to encourage young students to think about careers in science, and physics in particular. Her favorite fun physics experiments include using static electricity to pop Rice Krispies inside a balloon, and making batteries from potatoes. Be sure to check out her cool computer animated "Glycolysis" clip, which her research group - The Cheung Group - created to use physics theories to simulate and study the behavior of protein folding and interactions in a cell.
