About This Lesson
This is an integrated science and reading activity. Students learn about mammals, reptiles, amphibians etc.while they are being prepared to figure out the culprit in a whodunnit mystery. Students then work in cooperative groups reading for clues about the different animals at the crime scene. At the end of a few days, after they have read all the witness statements, they make inferences to identify the culprit and make an arrest. There are also clues and misdirection in the PowerPoint. Your class will amaze you as they are doing their detective work!
