About This Lesson
This handout has students annotate for social, political, and economic events that would cause Europeans to be more humanist. The three major events covered are the Crusades, the Black Death, and the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople. I used slang language in the first two descriptions just for the fun of it, but you can easily re-write it so it sounds more academic.
