About This Lesson
This handout is based on the narration from the first few minutes of the film Argo. It describes the history of Persia (prompting students to watch a youtube video on the history of Persia), then takes students through the actions of Mohammad Mossadegh, the CIA coup d'etat against him, the harsh actions of the Shah, and then the revolution against him. Most of the pages are images that have text in between, and students are prompted to annotate differently based on each page.
