About This Lesson

This lesson helps students learn the rule of writing in the Chamorro Language to help them build their writing skills in Chamorro. Along with some practice worksheets they may work on building their skills. They do not need to translate their sentences into Chamorro yet. 

Chamorro Sentence Structure Guide Sheet

Step 1:

        Write your simple sentence in English. Make sure you have, a verb or adjective, noun(subject), and an article (is/the).

        Example: The table is color blue.

Step 2:

        Rewrite your English sentence following the Chamorro Sentence Structure rule:

               1st – Verb or adjective (action word or describing word)

               2nd – Article (is/the)

               3rd – Noun (person, place, thing, or animal)

        Example: Color blue is the table.

Step 3:

        Translate each word into Chamorro.

        Example: Kulot asut i lamasa.
