Most experts agree that "Lucy" was a 3 ft tall chimpanzee. Also, remember that Evolution is only a theory, not a fact. Where are all of the missing links? Where is the snake-frog? or the fish-birds? etc? It takes a lot of faith to believe in Evolution. I look out at the world, the beauty of the sky, the trees, flowers, the complexity of the human eye, and the vast variety of life and I have faith that there is a Creator. There is no "proof for neither one of these ideas because none of us were there to observe. So each much choose what they will have faith in...Evolution (how did the first form of life originate, even if it were an atom?)
or a Creator? I am going with the Creator. Please be careful how you teach this sort of a lesson, as it is and will always be only a "theory."

You should not rate a lesson

You should not rate a lesson poorly just because you fail to understand the basic scientific principles. Faith cannot be proved or disproved by science, so why do you think they compete?

I hope you aren't teaching in an actual school, because any real science teacher understands that in scientific terms, a "theory" means something very different than in casual conversation. A scientific "theory" has been tested over and over and found to be reliable and true. It's not just an idea, evolution is fact- until something proves it wrong.
